the state of things...

When we moved into our house 1 1/2 years ago we had grand visions of ripping everything out and starting over. Then reality set in and we knew that our finances wouldn't allow it. So we started just chipping away at projects. A hole here, an opening there... soon it snowballed into taking out my whole kitchen.

Granted it wasn't great to begin with, but it was functional.

Now to cook a meal I have 1 square foot of counter space and that is on my stove top. Well we've done the ripping out... now I can hardly stand it anymore.

new spaces...

new year means new beginnings. In my case it's has to be a new beginning for all of my old things. Time to reorganize and refresh the house. I found some wonderful images to help inspire me to switch things up a bit and get a little more organized at the same time.
